Taylor her first family dinner!

Mommy and Taylor.
Grandpa Rey trying to make Taylors faces...she is peeking at him like, "you've got to be kidding!"

The girls receive their first school AWARDS!

Brooklyn and Aubrey receive their first awards. They received the homework award, number champian, and alphabet queen. Number champian means you can count to 30 without any help and the alphabet queen is for kids who know their ABC's upper case and lower case and the sound each letter makes. They looked so cute up there and were very proud of themselves. Below are a few pictures.

Ethan's Play

"There's A Rumpus in the Rainforest"
Ethan's big debut!
What a turnout at Ethan's play. Thank you to all who showed up to show your love and support. Ethan joined drama club and has been working two days a week after school as well as at home practicing his lines for this play. When he brought home the cd and script I saw he had a solo. This once again, brought me back to my days as a 3rd grader and brought me back to how shy Ethan is....or actually was. He said he was not going to look at anyone. Still, I was so nervous for him. He played the jaguar and out he came and sang his heart out! I was so proud of him as was Brian. Brian came home gloating and beaming saying that he would NEVER do something like that in 3rd grade. ME NEITHER! So kudos to Ethan the superstar! Below are some pictures and a video of the special night!
The set
Ethan's friends Austin and Cade came to show their support :)
4 generations of Elrods!
Auntie Lacey and Ethan

Here is one of the pictures of Ethan hanging in their multi-purpose room.
The video...you will see him come out on the right hand sand and begin singing! Way to go Ethan! Now introducing the future SUPERSTAR!

Brian and I's 2nd Anniversary!

For Brian and I's 2nd anniversary we decided we should go to Big Bear like we did last year for our anniversary (venturing back to Maui is next year...fingers crossed)! It was so relaxing and pleasent. We stayed at the same place as last year and when we got there Brian asked the lady if she had a room with a balcony and let her know it was our anniversary. Well not only did she upgrade us to a room with a balcony, but it was the Executive Suite and had two balconies, a master bedroom, spa bath tub, two fireplaces, and a living room. It was huge and very cozy! We had a great time. It was definitely different from the last time we went but all in all it was a very relaxing weekend. We even went fishing! We bought all the supplies, rented a little fishing boat and off we went....needless to say we didn't catch anything. It was still an adventure...me getting in and out of a tiny fishing boat was an adventure in itself!

Brian fishing

Look closely that is not a whale in Big Bear Lake it is me fishing!

Pumpkin Carving

We had the Adams family over for dinner and pumpkin carving. We didn't have pumpkin carvers so they didn't turn out so great but the kids still enjoyed it. Brooklyn and Bradley did not like getting their hand all yucky, and Matthew got to observe while Brian and Stephen carved his pumpkin. The kids worked on their pumpkins for about five minutes then Brian and Stephen ended up finishing them all up. The masterpieces are below!

Halloween Time at Disneyland!

Last weekend Brian and I decided to surprise the kids and take them to Disneyland. We have passes that Nana got us and wanted to take them to see the halloween decorations and while I could still walk :) We didn't tell them we were taking them. They thought we were all going to go measure a fence with Dada. Needless to say when we got there they were all really excited. Aubrey said, "that's why you told us to wear comfy shoes. I knew it". Yeah...sure Aubrey....you knew it... We had tons of fun. I enjoed myself as well even though there was only a handful of rides I could go on. It was fun watching them get off of them and come running to me full of smiles. I told Brian once Logan comes, he owes me a trip to Disneyland. Okay I admit I do kind of wish I was on the rides with them. That's okay though, only 28 days to go!

Brooklyn didn't want to go on the first ride so she stayed behind with Logan and I!

It's Buzz Lightyear!

The kids running through the misters! Although it is October it was a pretty hot day!

Look closely...I took a picture of a picture of them on Space Mountain. Ethan is in front with his eyes closed, Aubrey is next to him with a smile, and Brooklyn is in back next to Brian looking scared to death. They were all full of smiles when they got off! I was impressed. I would NEVER go on Space Mountain when I was 5.

As Brian would say, "my little scrappers"!

BABY SHOWER!

The baby shower was absolutely perfect. Thank you Lindsay for putting so much time into making everything so beautiful. I feel so fortunate to have such AMAZING family and friends. Thank you to all of you for sharing in this special time. I came home that day and told Brian how lucky we are to have such wonderful people like all of you in our lives. So thank you for everything. Below are some pictures of the shower. Oh and by the way for those of you that don't know we decided to name the baby Logan Robert Elrod. The kids like that name the best as do both of our parents. Plus, the girls at my work said it sounded like a professional football player name so now Brian likes it too! Peyton Elrod will be the next one! :)

Grandma T.T. got this at the Peoria Airport in Illinois so although you Illinois folks couldn't be there you were definitely there in spirit!

Have to represent the COLTS and the BEARS...oh yeah and the CUBS...maybe next year??? That is what my dad keeps saying!

This dice game is so much fun and competitive. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did watching!

One of many cards my mom made me with pictures of myself. They were very cute and sentimental!

Nana wants to make sure Logan never has a dull moment so along with the stoller and car seat she also filled it with toys! Thank you nana!

My beautiful friend and sister I never had Lindsay who put everything together and had it at her house. Thanks Pooh! You're the best!
Claire and Logan's soon to be BFF Matthew. Mommy and Claire ate lots of food together when we were both pregnant. Matthew is waiting patiently for you to come so Claire and Mommy can hang out again. Claire just isn't as much fun to eat with anymore!
