BABY SHOWER!

The baby shower was absolutely perfect. Thank you Lindsay for putting so much time into making everything so beautiful. I feel so fortunate to have such AMAZING family and friends. Thank you to all of you for sharing in this special time. I came home that day and told Brian how lucky we are to have such wonderful people like all of you in our lives. So thank you for everything. Below are some pictures of the shower. Oh and by the way for those of you that don't know we decided to name the baby Logan Robert Elrod. The kids like that name the best as do both of our parents. Plus, the girls at my work said it sounded like a professional football player name so now Brian likes it too! Peyton Elrod will be the next one! :)

Grandma T.T. got this at the Peoria Airport in Illinois so although you Illinois folks couldn't be there you were definitely there in spirit!

Have to represent the COLTS and the BEARS...oh yeah and the CUBS...maybe next year??? That is what my dad keeps saying!

This dice game is so much fun and competitive. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did watching!

One of many cards my mom made me with pictures of myself. They were very cute and sentimental!

Nana wants to make sure Logan never has a dull moment so along with the stoller and car seat she also filled it with toys! Thank you nana!

My beautiful friend and sister I never had Lindsay who put everything together and had it at her house. Thanks Pooh! You're the best!
Claire and Logan's soon to be BFF Matthew. Mommy and Claire ate lots of food together when we were both pregnant. Matthew is waiting patiently for you to come so Claire and Mommy can hang out again. Claire just isn't as much fun to eat with anymore!

Ashlyn Michele Braun. So precious

Getting Ready For Logan!

This last weekend we decided it was time to start construction on Ethan's room to get ready for the baby. A new house may be in our future, but for now we are going to stay where we are at and make room! Over the weekend and last week we painted, bought furniture, put furniture together all night long, and put up decorations on walls, and bought new bedspreads. Needless to say I am exhausted and Logan isn't even here yet! Thank you to everyone that chipped in their time to help out. We truly appreciate it. Below are some before and after pictures. It was VERY difficult to paint over the mural that Grandma GG and Auntie Debbie painted so we took pictures! We figured we would have to paint over it one day however; I must say it is a masterpiece I have enjoyed admiring over the last few years!
BEFORE

The Masterpiece Mural!

The kids enjoyed helping out. I had to leave the room. Brian is a little more patient than I am and I was just waiting for paint to spill all over the carpet so I let Daddy take over!

AFTER!!!!

Grandma T.T. picked out the PERFECT comforter to go in Ethans room. Thank you for shopping with me ALL DAY LONG!

Nana let us pick out some sayings/art to hang on the wall and even put them up for us. Thanks Nana!

Still waiting on the drawers on the right to be put together....someday....maybe???? Look at all his toys ALREADY! What a lucky duck!

The Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch on Sunday! Here are some pictures we took of the kids. Going to the pumpkin patch just isn't what it used to be! You used to go to get a pumpkin...now you go and $80.00 later you leave with no pumpkin...but smiles on the kids faces since they were able to ride on the rides there!

School Pictures

Here is Ethan's 3rd grade school picture. What a cutie!

The kids took school pictures in September. They turned out really good! The other day Ethan came home with a permission slip and told me he wanted to join the drama club because they do plays and he thinks it would be cool. Thinking of the shy boy I have always known I asked him if he was sure and reminded him that in drama you have to put on plays and act in front of people. He said he knows and he still wants to do it. I couldn't believe what I was hearing! I think Ethan has officially come out of shell. He goes to drama club every Tuesday and Thursday after school. Right now he is working on a play where he is a jaguar! We are looking forward to going to the play! We are still waiting on Ethan's school pictures. I will post them once we get them!

Baby Elrod in 4D!

We decided to get 3D 4D pictures done. The place we went to set it up so that anyone can come to the viewing. There was a wrap around couch and a projector screen where everyone could see baby Elrod. The first time we went he was NOT corporating, in fact he was doing the exact opposite. He was facing my back so all we could see was the back of his head. She told me to get up, and walk around, and get on all fours even to see if he would re-position. So (in another room) I did. After all I was under a lot of pressure having all those people there to see him. So the ultra sound tech tried it again and he turned around but now he had both arms AND one of his feet in front of his face so we still didn't see anything. We all left disappointed and I rescheduled it for a week later to try again. The next time I went in I ate dinner and even had some cupcakes! He was moving all over and performed nicely! In fact, at one point he put his foot in his mouth and started sucking on it. Below are some of the pictures. I think he has my chin...poor guy! :)
